Our Love Story

How we met

November 28, 2020

Megan, my sister, went out for drinks with Kara and Lauren. Megan was living with me at the time and they decided to come back to my house to watch The Bachelor. I made a quick appearance to the kitchen for a snack and then disappeared back to my room. We noticed each other though.

The next week, the girls returned to my house to watch The Bachelor again. I gave the girls space, but later in the evening, Tito (my dog) delivered a note to me in one of his balls. It was silly, but we spent that evening passing notes back and forth to each other and later that night I got a follow request from Lauren on Instagram.

First Date

December 16, 2020

After texting for a few weeks, we went snow shoeing around Donner Lake with Tito for my birthday. We took a long walk and found conversation between each other easy, natural and non-stop. We admitted later that we both had thought about getting a picture together this day, but didn't want to be weird or too forward. First date jitters!

We fell in love with each other

January 15, 2021

That winter we fell in love on the slopes learning to ski together. Lauren says she loved my patience, word's of encouragement and my dimples. I loved her love for adventure, easygoingness and the way she made me feel relaxed. (Play the video for a sweet moment)

Then we decided to travel together

April 9, 2022

Lauren pitched the idea, and when remote job opportunities became reality for both of us, so did her dream. It didn't take much convincing. We spent so many evenings researching trucks and trailers to find the perfect set up for us to travel the United States in.

I asked and she said Yes!

July 24, 2023

After 10,651 miles, 22 states, 2 provinces and a lot of time together, I asked Lauren to marry me on the top of a mountain over looking Jordan Lake in Acadia National Park, Maine. Megan and Ben flew out the ring I picked out a month earlier and were there to celebrate with us.

We can't wait to celebrate our love and commitment to each other with our favorite people. We hope to see you all there!
